Arabian Pipes Company (APC), Saudi Joint-Stock Company, has been established by the leading business group in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be the Leading Industrial Center in the Region specialized in Supplying complete range (Medium & Large Diameter) of Bare and Coated Steel Pipes suitable for Oil & Gas and high-pressure applications

A. ERW/HFW PLANT

 

Production      :           Commercial Production Started in 1996

Location          :           2nd Industrial City – Phase III, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Capacity          :           160,000 tons/year

Size range      :           6 – 20 inch (168.3 – 508mm)

Thickness       :           0.125 – 0.630” (3.2 mm - 16 mm)

Length            :           6M  - 15.24M

Specification: ISO 3183-3 DEP 31.40.20.37

01-SAMSS-333, 01-SAMSS-016, 01-SAMSS-035 and all related  SAUDI ARAMCO specification

API 5L B, X42 – X70 / Line Pipes

                                    API 5CT H-40, J-55, K-55 / Casing Pipes

                                    ASTM A53 A & B  and any Other equivalent standards

Pipe Supplies:            Supplied in excess of 36 million feet of different sizes of high grades Steel Pipes Locally and Internationally.           

 

Process           :           Electric Resistant Welded pipes are made from steel strip in                                     coil form.  After being uncoiled, flat strip is passed through a

                                    series of rolls to be changed to round shape, then welded by a

                                    high frequency welding system, then passed through sizing

                                    and shaping    rolls    to   get    the   desired   size.

 

Application     :           Line pipes & Casing pipes for OIL  &  GAS & Petroleum   

                                    supply, Structural pipes for onshore and offshore platforms,                                     Petrochemicals, Column pipes, Water well casing pipes, Piling

                                    pipes, general structural pipes etc.. APC  has  already 

                                    earned  its reputation to  be  one  of the few suppliers in the

                                    world to manufacture critical  line pipes for Wet Sour &

                                    Critical applications.

B. EXTERNAL COATING PLANT

Location          :           2nd Industrial City – Phase III, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Size Range      :           From 6” to 48” pipe diameter

Pipe Length    :           From 10 to 15 Meters

Type                :           FBE (Fusion Bounded Epoxy)

                                    2 / 3 LPE (Poly-Ethylene)

                                    2 / 3 LPP (Poly-Propylene)

Records           :           More than 12 million feet of different coating types have

been supplied to local and International Clients.

C. LSAW STEEL PIPE PROJECT

 

APC has a Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding (LSAW) plant of U.O.E process type located the Jubail Industrial Area that produces pipes of 16 to 48 inch diameter with maximum wall thickness of up to 1 inch, ranging from API 5L Grade B to X70. 

 

The plant capacity of 300,000 metric tons per annum is designed and operating to meet the high market demand for LSAW high quality pipes due to ever-expanding gas development programs and newly discovered gas reserves in the Gulf and Middle East region and Worldwide.

Size Range      :           16 – 48” (406.4mm – 1219.2mm), 25mm thick

Length            :           to 12.2 M

Main Application:       OIL & GAS PIPELINES, Structural Pipes, High Pressure applications.

 

D. THREADING & COUPLING FACILITY

 

A Threading and Coupling line was added to the ERW Facility, to cater to the pipe end-finishing requirements of most Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) and API 5CT Casings.  Application of computerized power torque threads and couplings is a value-added service to make 5CT pipes rig-ready. Demand on OCTG threaded pipes is very strong as Saudi Aramco and other Oil and Gas Companies expanding their production capacities.

 

E. SLITTING LINE

 

The Riyadh ERW mill also has a Coil Slitting facility for HRC that may require slitting into specifically required skelp width sizes.  Coils of maximum 1610mm up to 12.7mm thickness can be slit into two-to-three coil sizes.
